Registration (as well as submission of portfolio) 29th June - 1st July 2011 or 21st - 23rd September 2011 (from 10 -12 am directly in the studio of the selected professor) Entry exam 4th - 7th July 2011 or 26th - 29th September 2011 Winter term starts 3rd October 2011 IOA The Institute of Architecture at the University of Applied Arts Vienna is a laboratory for the future. In their personal dealings with high-profile teaching staff, students have the opportunity to gather experience that turns information into knowledge. The ongoing discussion of the relation between theory and practice gives students an insight into the reali- ty of design, allowing them to understand what it means to make architecture. The design studios are marked by knowledge transfer in small groups, which unites all students through common topics in order to test the paradigms of contem- porary architecture by way of example. Students work in teams with the intensive supervision and assistance of highly qualified figures. The main emphasis from the outset is on design, the elaboration of concepts, and a complex examination of architecture. The programme encourages the creative association of related topics. Integrated into the design work in the studios, the teaching in the technical and theoretical subjets is organised around the elaboration of a strategic understanding of the realisation, theoretical background, and management, practice and communica- tion of design projects. Realisation comprises the integration of technical disciplines throughout the entire design process; manage- ment and practice deal with the dynamics of the economic, ecological, and political structures of the profession. The- ory imparts an understanding of the cultural and societal contexts of the discipline, while the topic of communication enables students and practising graduates to defend and carry out their designs and associated concepts in a convincing manner. In this way, in addition to honing the students’ artistic design potential, the aim is to convey the ability to efficiently collaborate, which is crucial in subsequent professional practice, as well as the critical responsibility of architects toward their tasks. Strategic thinking and visual culture enable communication within the discipline as well as engagement with various interests in society. Architecture Faculty Head: Wolf D. 本帖最后由 unfinal 于 2011-7-13 18:35 编辑 hernan那个跟建筑系他们上课得地方都不在主校区。。那个项目实际就是赚钱得。别的studio是不需要学费得。 hernan出来是MS in Architecturehernan得那边直接申请就可以了你是读landscape什么得也能申请别的studio出来得是M.Arch。要求你是建筑本科毕业＋作品集＋入学考试然后各种学校每个学期都有各种神得讲座很多评图得时候也都是除了以上三个大神还有来自AA 跟美国得大神们。。。对事业也很有帮助。。就是你要申请个欧洲旅行签证。在维也纳呆那么1周。提交作品集～然后参加3天得考试+面试

学校网站上都有作品啊很具体的的啊每年完了都会传上去啊。就是一个跟AA , Sci-Arc 差不多的学校。。。。。我不懂你的硕士的方向说的是什么。。语言是英语授课没有硬性要求你有个什么语言成绩因为有面试的。但是是英语的。。当然如果你会德语。。更好了哈哈不会也无所谓

考试面试的内容是什么啊？申请难度大概相当于美国什么档次的学校？很感兴趣，想了解一下

考试是一个3天的workshop。。题目基本是很创意搞笑的。。实现的方式是做模型和手绘。。。一般4歌task。。每年题目都不同去年有一题的是他们弄了几个玩具。让你画出年想像中的剖面。。。然后对剖面进行transform。。画出你trandform的过程。。然后把结果做成一个1:200的模型。。。别的三个忘记了。。基本就是这类型的。。或者给你看一些大师草图。。。乱78糟的。。然后让你做出一个模型。。当然是你自己的理解不是去做大师画那个草图而设计出来的东西。当时有个盖里的一个博物馆的草图。。有个学生直接做的一摸一样的博物馆出来。。直接fail了。。等等。。面试也很随机问你的建筑理想啊为什么来这里啊等等。。我觉得跟美国的没有可比性吧。。因为是不同的录取模式。。美国的递交作品集＋gre tofel＋可能有个电话面试吧。。还是不同的。。这边会跟真实的反应你个人的水平。我觉得只要有信心和能力向往在这里读书应该就能进来。这是我认为的秘诀信念！哈

这个单位必须是人民币欧的话算过来是150-200万人民币一年了。。那真读不起

感谢版主提供这么多的信息，看了《先锋专辑》里的几位维也纳应用艺术大学的学长的作品后就开始对这个学校感兴趣，同时也很向往能在欧洲多建筑~~努力啊~~~

Vienna出来的都是hardcore，号称是Zaha的嫡系，不过听说本科五年读完出来的建筑基本常识欠缺点。
